It has been WAY too long since I’ve been on here!!! I have absolutely no excuse for my absence… I could say I’ve been super busy or my computer’s been on the fritz… but really, none of that would be true. Just haven’t felt like I had anything to say.

So…. to catch up a bit…

Life is good. I’ve reached a milestone… I turned the dreaded 35 last month. I guess I have to be an adult now. To go along with that role… I’ve done the following:
  1. I had 5 inches cut off my hair 🙁
  2. Changed my look a bit…
  3. and now I’m determined to lose 25 pounds. I’ve been doing good so far… losing 6 pounds in the last couple weeks, until today. I think I’ve put ALL of that back on, plus some, with just one meal. I need to learn portion control! I’ve exercised every day the last two weeks.
  4. I’ve also joined , which has helped ALOT! It really holds you accountable. You have to input everything you eat. I was totally shocked by what I was eating during the day. Since then, I’ve cut out a ton of sugar… I didn’t realize how much I snacked while I was at work and on the weekend. I knew I ate when I was bored, but apparently I snack when I’m stressed, too. Fortunately, I don’t drink any kind of sodas, so I’ve upped my intake of regular, old-fashioned water.
  5. I’ve been trying to eat healthier, too. That’s not working… I don’t like to cook, so eating healthier meals is very difficult. I’ve gotten a couple different cookbooks and actually cooked something on Saturday (GO ME!!)… Tex Mex Soup from a cookbook my mother-in-law got me as a wedding present. It was delicious, low-fat and easy to make. I’ve never really been fond of soups, but this one is really good. So, if any of you out there have a delicious healthy recipe for ANYTHING… please send it my way.

The next few months should prove to be very interesting… I have a couple exciting things coming up… which I will write about later. But that’s it for now…
