Ok… so, if you REALLY know me… you know that I LOVE a good cup of “froo-froo” coffee and I’m willing to pay high dollar for it. Lately, since my favorite local shop is closed (not really sure why, I’m hoping for remodeling), I’ve been swinging through the drive-thru at Burger King for a delicious cup of iced Mocha Joe (since we don’t have a Starbucks). It’s not quite the same as what I get at the fancy place, but it’s a good (I sincerely hope temporary) replacement.
Today, while sipping my fast food java, I got an email that one of my favorite blogs had been updated and wouldn’t you know it…. it was a recipe for homemade iced coffee!!!! The Pioneer Woman posted this easy looking recipe, so I thought I’d give it a try!
Currently, I’m in the steeping phase. I still need to purchase a fine sifter and cheesecloth. I’m not an avid cook, so I don’t have these items around my kitchen. I assume I can find them at Wal-Mart.
I anticipate trying my first cup of homemade iced coffee in the morning! I’ll let you know how it is!!!
In the meantime… my son left for church camp this morning 🙁 Friday seems like a million years away! I know he’ll have a good time… not sure about me, though!!
