…yes, as in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
We’re here! Been here a total of 12 days. It’s kind of crazy… we live in OKC, have a Yukon address and Connor goes to school in the Mustang School District. I don’t know which way is up! Confusing, I know.
We’re not quite settled into our new house, yet. There are several boxes that just can’t seem to unpack themselves. I’ve really, really tried to encourage them to find a place for all their contents, but they are like stubborn, disobedient children. Maybe this weekend I can bribe them. I’m sick of a messy house! I didn’t realize how much stuff we had until we moved into a 200 square foot smaller house!!! I’m currently looking for a cabinet for our kitchen for all the extra Tupperware, small appliances, pantry items, etc.
Connor has been going to school here for a week and a half now. He likes it, but its a lot different from AR. They switch classes every hour in 6th grade here and he’s in BAND!! He chose to play the clarinet. (Actually, he was given a choice… between the clarinet and the flute… which would you choose if you were an 11 year old boy?) They’re already doing a fundraiser… taking monetary donations for new band equipment.
Rob had to go back to AR for another week of work 🙁 I’m ready for him to start his position here in Oklahoma. Once he does, he will work Monday through Friday and will be home every night! It will be the first time since we’ve been married that he’s worked a normal schedule! I can’t wait!
We’ve visited several new restaurants since we got here. We love to experience new places to eat. Our favorite so far is Swadley’s BBQ. Click to visit their fun website! We’ve also enjoyed Braum’s ice cream a few times. I didn’t know I liked waffle cones until I had Chocolate Chocolate Chip ice cream on one!
Our search for a home church continues. We visited on this past Sunday, but don’t feel it’s the “ONE”.
The Oklahoma State Fair is going on right now downtown. Connor and I are planning to brave that with some friends from work tomorrow afternoon. I hear it’s one of the best state fairs in the country. I’ll take pictures and post them over the weekend. I also want to go to the new outlet mall. The Outlet Shoppes at Oklahoma City is just 15 – 20 minutes from our house. We’re going just to “window shop”. Our purse strings are currently glued shut until our house in AR sells.
Speaking of… we lowered the price on our wonderful home there.

I know God will bring the right family who will enjoy it just as much, if not more, than we did.
Well, that’s an update for now. I think I’m going to pack Connor up and head to Braum’s for a Chocolate Chocolate Chip waffle cone!!!!
