How have I been doing on my New Year’s Resolutions for 2012 you ask?
I’ve done okay on some and not so okay on others. We’ll run down the list…
1. Grow into a better Christian.
I am becoming more involved at church. I have started arriving early on Wednesday night’s to help check in kids for activities and we’re helping out some Sundays during childrens’ church. Just as soon as we actually join the church, I hope to be active in the music program.
2. Build up the savings account.
Slowly but surely we’re getting back on track with this one. It’s just really hard to save when you’re paying two mortgages and double utilities. Soon our house will sell, we are keeping the faith!
3. Become a better wife.
Rob and I have committed to walking Macy together each and every night after work. This allows us time to talk and reflect on our day and grow closer to one another.
4. Be a better mother.
I’m still trying to figure out how to do this one and maintain my sanity. He’s already acting like a teenager. I love him a million times over though and always will!! Patience is a virtue!
5. Cook more.
I haven’t been cooking much, to the devastation of my poor, starving family. Just kidding. (I did cook up some delicious chicken the other night!) Good thing Rob can cook or my family really would be starving! I have found quite a few new and interesting recipes that I’ve been wanting to try.
6. Clean more.
I’m still not “Suzy Homemaker”, but they say “Rome wasn’t built in a day”. That can apply in this situation, can’t it?
7. Lose weight and get into shape.
8. Stop drinking so much Starbucks/Mocha Frappes.
These two have been a little bit more difficult, because of this…
And this…
In spite of that, I have still succeeded in a couple ounces, so that’s good. Here’s my weight as of this morning…
And finally…
9. Blog more!
I have to say, I have been 100% successful on this one!!
2012 is still young… who knows what the next 300+ days will hold!
How are you doing on your New Year’s Resolutions? Hopefully better than me!!!
Until next time…
Happy Blogging!
