…to Wilburton, Oklahoma…
…which is a good 3 hours from home. A long trip for one day, I know, but it was worth it.
We went here…
It’s a pretty cool state park with an interesting history. Supposedly back in the western days, outlaws such as Jesse James hid here in attempts to rob trains as they passed through the area.
Here is the actual cave that the park is named for…
And here is Connor in the back of the cave…
Connor had a really great time, because of this…
You couldn’t pay me to do it, but here he is… my brave child is in the upper left corner at the top of the rock in his blue Thunder hat and black sweatshirt…
Now… here’s a video of what happened next…
I love how he disappears at the bottom behind the rock (& Rob’s laugh!). He’s okay, trust me!
Here are some more pictures from the gorgeous Saturday afternoon!
We won’t be “Road Tripping” this weekend, too much going on. Connor’s first soccer game is Saturday afternoon and then we have the Run Lucky 5k on Sunday… I’ll tell you all about that on tomorrow’s post.
Until next time…
Happy Blogging!
