This past Sunday, the family and I participated in the 2nd Annual Run Lucky 5k benefiting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.  The day started off extremely rainy and dreary, but by race time, it was just dreary… thank goodness the rain had stopped!!
This was Connor’s very first race.  I was soooo proud of him.  His official time was 28 minutes and 27 seconds… more importantly, he took home 4th place for his age division and was 248th out of more than 600 males in the entire race!
I was really proud of Rob as well… his official time was 31 minutes and 55 seconds.  He came in 382 overall and 55th in his age group.
I didn’t do so well… here’s my time… 50 minutes and 39 seconds.  I wasn’t listed on the overall page, so I’m not sure where I placed in the entire race, but here’s a portion of the list for my age group.
I wasn’t last! (Thank goodness, it would have been embarrassing otherwise since over 2,000 runners participated!)
And yes… the OKC Memorial Half-Marathon is just over a month and a half away!!
I need to buckle down and get training if I’m going to make it 13.1 miles.
Here are some pictures from Sunday’s race…

Until next time…
