This particular project has taken a lot longer and given us more headaches than expected.
We first started it on March 1st (click HERE to for past posts on this project.  Click HERE for a recent update.)  We had great expectations when we began this project.  I half expected it to be fully finished by the time I got back to town the next week.  Obviously, that didn’t happen!
Now, more than a month later… here it is!
Even Connor thinks it looks great!  We have it on 2x4s because the legs weren’t completely dry and we didn’t want it to stain our tile.
Sure, it has its flaws… but it’s hand-made, by Rob… sanded by Rob and Connor… stained by Rob and me.  It truly was a family endeavor and that’s exactly what I wanted it to be.  The only things left now are the bench and finding some new chairs.
Maybe these from Target?
(Click HERE for the chair details)
If you’d like to make this fantastic farmhouse table for your home… here’s the link to the plans:
We did modify the plans to create a smaller, more functional table for our space.  The plans are easy to follow and I’ve come to love Ana White and all her ideas.
The next project on our “Getting Crafty…” list is this…
… a loft bed with desk for Connor’s bedroom.  It’s also an Ana White design that we’ll be modifying slightly.  Hopefully, this won’t take as long as the table!
Until next time…
Happy Blogging!
