I’m sure you’ve heard of a “Bucket List”… if not, it’s a list of crazy, amazing things you want to do before you “kick the bucket”. By the way, Hubs and I just recently watched “The Bucket List” with Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson… it is so good! A little crude, but we loved it! Our favorite line (WARNING –CRUDE HUMOR AHEAD)… “never pass up a bathroom, never waste a hard-on and never trust a fart.” Sorry… see, I told you it was crude, please forgive me.
Anyway… a “bump it list” is a list of things you would NEVER do before you die, opposite of a bucket list.
I’m linking up with Geez, Louise, The Handey Way and many others to bring you my own personal “Bump it List”.
I would never purchase a Lexus. I mean seriously… I’m so over the “luxury” car thing. I can’t imagine dropping that much dough on something so impractical and I certainly wouldn’t finance one! If I had the cash to buy a fancy, foreign car, it would be a BMW. Until then, I’m perfectly content driving my paid-off 2012 Ford Flex!
I would never purchase a house larger than 2,200 square feet. Who would clean it? I can’t keep my 1,600 square foot house clean! I actually paid someone to come clean when we lived in Arkansas, which was WONDERFUL! Wish we could afford that now.
Okay, those two are boring… how about this one…
I will never question my son’s choices in career or relationships once he graduates from college… at least not to his face. If he comes to me for advice, I will give it…otherwise, I will keep my mouth shut. That will be extremely difficult to do, but I will try.
I will never purposefully take the Lord’s name in vain. That’s such a huge pet peeve of mine! It clearly states in the Ten Commandments “You must not misuse the name of the Lord your God. The Lord will not let you go unpunished if you misuse His name.” Exodus 20:7 (NLT) The rules on that couldn’t be any clearer!
If I’m blessed enough to have grandchildren, I will never spoil them… yeah, right… who am I kidding?
I will never, ever in the rest of my entire life, get another tattoo. (see HERE for more on that and stay tuned for an update next week)
That’s all I can think of! If you were to write up a “Bump It List…” what would be on it?

I can barely keep my small, one-bedroom apartment clean, let alone a WHOLE HOUSE. I will definitely be splurging for a cleaning lady when I “grow up”

I would never want a large house either–that’s just too much work to clean! We’re planning on moving into an apartment soon that will probably be 1000 sq. feet or smaller and I’m so excited! I read your tattoo removal story. Ouch!!
I know! Once the kid is off to college (2018) we may downsize.

Buying a luxury car should be on my bump it list, too! I know I’ll never buy one since they’re so expensive. Plus, if I have a “luxury” car, it’ll be for fun. In that case, we’d get an old Jeep Wrangler. Love your list, and thanks for linking up!
