Sally Hansen’s Miracle Gel… I had high hopes for this product, but in the words of The Kid: “Epic Fail”.
Here is a look at my “Daily Nail Diary” that ended up not being daily…
I applied Sally Hansen’s Miracle Gel in “Too Haute” as directed on a Wednesday afternoon…
By late evening, roughly 6 hours after application, my nails looked like this…
…already a small chip. Disappointment.
About 25 hours later, the polish had chipped even more…
Finally, after 5 days, I gave up on my Daily Nail Diary because my nails looked like this…
Here is my final review…
The polish’s claim to fame is that it is supposed to as long as a salon gel manicure, about 2 weeks, at half the cost. It is a three step process (2 coats color, 1 coat special top coat)…no UV light needed. After only a few hours, the color started to chip on my nails and after only 5 days I realized the polish was not going to work for me. However, it was extremely easy to remove (regular remover and a cotton ball) and it didn’t cause my nails to peel like traditional polish. My nails actually appear healthier than they did before I used the product. For that reason, (and because I really like the deep, rich purple of “Too Haute”) I will continue to use Sally Hansen’s Miracle Gel.
This was not a paid review… Sally Hansen did not send me products to try. I purchased the color at Walgreens myself using my rewards points and the Top Coat at Walmart (Walgreens was out of the top coat). I’d the company would like to send me other colors to try, I would gladly accept them! 🙂
