A few weeks ago, I completed my 12th half marathon! For this one I traveled all the way out to Pennsylvania to race in the Rock ‘n Roll Philadelphia event.
I flew in late Friday night, the next morning we went downtown to the Race Expo to pick up our packets. After that, we ate lunch at Barbuzzo Restaurant on South 13th Street (DELICIOUS!) and went to the Reading Terminal Market for these…
Heavenly!
Later that afternoon, I took a nap with this sweet puppy…
We carb loaded for dinner at Paganini Ristorante in Doylestown with amazing salad, pasta and wine!
Race morning was so humid I thought I was going to pass out!
Here are some pictures from the course…
The humidity finally let up a bit and the course was beautiful and very scenic. The race was very fun, especially the last 4 miles where I was joined by my fabulous Aunt-in-law and gorgeous Cousin-in-law to cross the finish line together!
And finally, the medal…
…not as nice as some of my other medals, but it looks good hanging with my others!
Pennsylvania marks my 5th state in my 50 States Half Marathon journey…
Right now, I’m in the middle of training for this 15k (9.3 miles) with work friends coming up real soon…
…and then this one in 138 days!
Of course, that’s a repeat state… it will be my 8th time for the Little Rock Half Marathon. The next state I’ll color on my map will be Georgia late next year with my sister. I can’t wait!
Until next time,
Happy Blogging!
