I didn’t take a whole lot of pictures this weekend…in fact, I only took these three.
Saturday morning, we took the bull terriers to Bricktown and walked around downtown OKC. We didn’t realize until we were down there that the Race for the Cure was going on. So much pink! It was a perfect day for a race! Continue reading »
How was your weekend? As usual, ours went by pretty fast, but it was very productive! Here’s a peak…
I had to be at work super early this morning, but I got to witness this…
Isn’t God amazing?? I can say one thing about Oklahoma and its flat terrain… it makes for some pretty spectacular sunrises and sunsets!
Saturday morning, The Hubs and I got up early and headed here…
We recently re-joined the gym. I only have 153 days until the Little Rock Half Marathon…it’s about time I started training!
That afternoon, we watched this…
We should have won, but alas…it wasn’t meant to be. The Razorbacks lost to the Aggies 35 to 28 in overtime. We haven’t won a conference game in 2 seasons…that’s so sad!
After the depressing loss, we put a second coat of poly on our current “Getting Crafty…” project…
Just a reminder… here is what our hallway looked like before…
We’ve had that silly little cabinet/end table since we moved in. It was always meant to be temporary, we just weren’t sure what we were going to replace it with. How about this…
I’m so incredibly excited about how it turned out! Here’s a close-up…
These pictures just don’t do it justice! It turned out such a beautiful rustic red color! It was a several layer process to get it to look like this… we brushed on the color, then wiped it off with a rag. We then put a light coat of pecan colored stain over the red. We let that dry, then using a rag, we put a layer of maple colored stain. We finished with two coats of polyurethane and voila`! The metal piece just sets it off, don’t you think? Now we have some extra storage! Love it!
The Hubs taught Sunday School at church this morning, so be looking for a post from him later in the week!
We road tripped to St. Louis for the holiday weekend!
We left Friday after The Kid got home from school…spent the night in Springfield…had breakfast with The Hubs’s cousin and his wife at Cooking from Scratch in the Missouri town of Doolittle and then traveled the last leg to St. Louis!
The Kid was so excited to see this guy…
That’s Jackson, my in-laws 60 pound bull terrier. This dog is a miracle! Click HERE to find out why…
We were also excited to visit with The Hubs’s sister, her husband and 3 precious little girls! They have grown so much!
Later that afternoon, we did this…
Razorbacks on the left, Mizzou Tigers on the right. My Hogs lost to Auburn, the Tigers beat South Dakota.
That night we celebrated my mother-in-law’s birthday with a dinner, delicious dessert and gifts!
On Sunday, after church and lunch, we went to the movies to see this…
This movie is so wonderful! I admit it…I cried twice, yes twice! If you haven’t seen it, yet…GO SEE IT!
We visited a little while longer Sunday night and then it was time to hit the sack since we were getting up super early to drive home. Jackson has the right idea…
The Hubs woke up at 4 (The Kid and me a little later) and we were on the road shortly after 6. We realized a few miles into our trip home that satellite radio was free because of the holiday!
Check it out! Van Halen! We thoroughly enjoyed listening to 90’s on 9 the entire journey!
A little bit later, our stomachs reminded us it had been several hours since we had eaten breakfast, so we stopped here…
Faye’s Dinner is located in Lebanon, Missouri. It was okay… nothing to write home about and we probably won’t stop there again, but the atmosphere was neat…
We arrived home to our precious bull terriers around 3:30…and that was our long holiday weekend! How was your’s?
Finally! It’s the weekend…and one with a holiday tacked onto the end! Whoop Whoop!! How are you celebrating Labor Day?
To wrap up this crazy week, here is a look at my 5 Friday Favorites…
Favorite Fashion: The Razorbacks have their first game tomorrow at Auburn. I’m anticipating a winning season for my Hogs! If I get to go to a game this year, maybe I’ll wear this…
Probably not…I don’t think I could pull it off, but it’s super cute! I found it on Etsy… click HERE to see it! Woo Pig Souie!!!
Favorite Blog: I love inspirational quotes and scripture. This particular blog post stuck out to me Wednesday afternoon after a trying day at work… To visit Becca’s blog, click HERE.
Favorite Instagram: We celebrated our puppies on Wednesday for National Dog Day. There were so many cute canine photos on Instagram for the celebration…it was so hard to choose just one. Here is one of my favorites…
Of course, I picked a photo with a bull terrier…isn’t he just precious?!?! This instagramer is all bull terrier all the time! Keep tabs on the adorable doggy by clicking HERE.
Favorite Pin: I’ve been debating creating my own business cards for a while now to advertise my freelance copy-editing/proofreading hobby that I would like to turn into a career. I’ve tossed around the idea of going through Vista Print, but I don’t feel like I need hundreds and hundreds of cards that are just going to collect dust. I found this on Pinterest yesterday and thought it was worth a second look…
The tutorial looks kind of involved…I’m going to have to set aside some time to attempt to make these… I’ll let you know how it goes! Click HERE to see the pin on Pinterest.
Favorite Recipe: This one I made earlier this week…

I hope your week was wonderful and your 3 day weekend even better!
Welcome to Friday! I’m so glad to see you! Here are 5 things I’m loving from this week…
Favorite Fashion: These shoes!
I found Hogcessories on Facebook a while ago and have purchased several Razorback items, such as shirts, jewelry, purses, etc. I’ve been waiting patiently for my size in these shoes… they are finally back in stock and wouldn’t you know it… Lee-Ann put them on sale!! Whoop Whoop! Aren’t they adorable! I’ve already worn them twice this week. Click HERE to visit the Hogcessories Company website.
Favorite Instagram Pic: I love to stalk follow famous people on Instagram… It’s so interesting to see them in their every day lives. As I’ve mentioned before, I’m a die-hard Real Housewives of anywhere fan and I really like seeing the photos they post on a daily basis. Here’s one Dina Manzo from the Real Housewives of New Jersey posted earlier this week.
This hilarious cat is named Sir Botox Wrinkles! Isn’t he just the most adorable thing ever?!
Favorite Blog Post: This one from The Londoner…
This girl is amazing! Rosie is from London and is continually traveling to new places and I’m living vicariously through her and her blog. She just returned from wandering the streets of New York writing about everything she sees, smells, tastes, feels and hears. Her pictures are incredible, especially her food shots, and it really makes me want to take a trip…anywhere. Visit her HERE.
Favorite Décor Idea: I pulled this shot off Pinterest (follow me there by clicking HERE).
Can you imagine cooking in a kitchen like that?? Holy Cow! I’d never leave that room! This could definitely inspire me to attempt to become a gourmet chef… maybe someday that will be in my dream house!
Favorite Product: Ouidad’s Curl Quencher Hydrafusion Intense Curl Cream
