If this is your first visit to my little space on the internet, WELCOME!! Let me tell you a little about myself…

(Me…with straight-ish hair.  This very rarely ever happens!)

I was born and raised in Arkansas, Razorback Red runs through my veins (Go HOGS! WPS!). I now live just outside Oklahoma City. For more on this transition, click HERE.

I’ve been married to a wonderful Christian man for just over 5 years and have an amazing son who will be 14 in a couple months and starts high school (WHAT?!? How did THAT happen??) in the fall.

I currently work full-time in the oil and gas industry and do proofreading/copy editing on the side. This blog is a fun hobby that I would love to turn into something more.

I started my blog in December of 2006, but didn’t really commit to it until a couple years ago. I have always loved to write…I worked in media (TV/radio) for 10 years and when I left the industry, I felt my life was void of something. Turns out, I was right… I needed to write. Therefore, when I resigned from my last media position with a radio/television station in Arkansas, I really started to focus on this spot on the web. Back then it was just a tiny blog on Blogspot…I’ve recently moved up to the big time with my own domain.

“All because two people Fell in love…” is a blog about my life…about family, cooking, traveling, soccer, half marathons, DIY, photography, bull terriers, adventure and the occasional product review. You never know what you’re going to get when you log onto my blog!

In my “Road Tripping…” series… I write about our trips exploring God’s creation. As a family of 5 (3 humans and two canines), we love to travel the great outdoors. We’ve hiked a majority of the state parks in Arkansas and are well on our way to seeing all Oklahoma has to offer. I’m a big fan of quirky, so it’s a been a great thing to live so close to Route 66/The Mother Road and all of it’s fun attractions.

In “On Tonight’s Plate…” I show you some of our favorite (teenager-approved) family recipes, as well as my attempt at new ones I find on Pinterest. I’ve never liked to cook and didn’t even do it that much before Pinterest came along. That site is GENIOUS!

In “Getting Crafty…” I write about the many DIY projects we do around our house. Actually, let me clarify, Rob makes the pieces, I just find the ideas (usually on Pinterest) and supervise. Hee Hee!

Sometimes I talk my husband into writing something for me to post here. I call it “Rob’s Rhetoric…”. He writes about faith and prayer and other religious topics. That man is gifted, I tell you!

I try to post at least 5 days a week, but being a soccer mom with a full-time job (in addition to this blog) and church commitments, I don’t always succeed at that. At the very least, I post a “PsOTD…” which are “Pictures Of The Day…”. I love to take pictures and do it pretty much 24/7, so you can expect at least that on any given day.
